Light has always been used to symbolism good and purity. In dream interpretation, light dreams aren’t so far off from how people perceive it.

In general, light dreams are seen as a positive symbol and can mean happiness. The presence of light means the lifting of darkness. This is how it also works in dream interpretation. When you dream of lights, it could mean that you have attained or will attain general enlightenment in your life or a specific area of your life.  Light dreams can also means you have or will attain knowledge and understanding regarding something you previously failed to understand.  Of course, in dream interpretation as in real life, this may not be as positive as it seems.

Other interpretations suggest that dreaming of light could mean a figurative lifting of the dark.  In this case, the light may indicate the lifting of a problem or the end of a difficult period in your life.  Darkness, after all, represents something that is evil and undesired.  That you will experience joy and happiness is also a popular interpretation.  This makes sense, since darkness is also perceived as sorrow and despair.

I must say tell you too that I met that man in the picture, well someone who looks a bit like him but better,  and now we are engaged.  I have been to the house in the picture by accident and I have walked in the field of red poppies.  I am always amazed when that map comes to life for me.  You can also see that I dream about traveling a lot.

I really believe in asking for what you want from your angels (or from the universe if you don't believe in angels).  This has worked for me a few times in my life, that I am aware of, and maybe at other times I may have put it down to  a coincidence.

I used to feel that wanting something more for myself was a selfish act so now I ask not only for myself but for someone else I know who needs it too.

You are worth it!  You truly must believe that and accept the reality of your dreams coming true.  Ask for what you want and your angels will give it to you.   Realizing your dreams is really not difficult if you believe.

What have you been dreaming about lately?  They may not be famous dreams but they still could be something funny, strange or weird, you can be sure that dreams say something about yourself.   It is said that Abraham Lincoln once dreamt about his assassination.  And what do singer Paul McCartney, author Mary Shelley (picture to the left), inventor Elias Howe and novelist Stephen King have in common?  They’re all famous great people who dreamt fascinating dreams which made them who they are today.

Dreams have always been quite mysterious to people, from having dreams to interpreting what they mean, dreams have continued to puzzle us and amaze. For some famous great people like Paul McCartney, the tune to the world-famous song “Yesterday” came through a dream.  It was a frightening dream that inspired Mary Shelley to write “Frankenstein.” and it was through a dream that the inventor Elias Howe figured out a way to complete his sewing machine. Stephen King also admits that some of his stories are inspired by dreams he have even as he sleeps on a plane!  These once personal dreams have now become famous dreams of people who took a further step of sharing their dreams with the world.

Dreams are important and most of the time, the creative activities and genius of our brains become more apparent when we dream.  A number of famous great people admit that their dreams have been part of the success of their careers and their lives.  In reality, every person dreams as he sleeps, but some dreams are more easily remembered than others.  Dreams whether they are famous dreams about people, events or places or just ordinary, everyday dreams give us a different perspective to our lives.

I will be having my own dream tonight and let it become a famous one in years to come.

Often teeth in dreams may indicate a problem you may be having with self image, confidence at work or home or a health problem you are dealing with.  Admiring your own teeth however, can indicate happiness and wishes coming true for you.  Dreaming of a third party like a dentist, in your dreams can mean you may be being influenced by a person of position or status and may not be faring well.

Have you had dreams about teeth that weren't your own?  What I mean by that is dreaming of seeing someone elses teeth and if see a monster type person with rotten teeth then take that to be a warning that someone will be deceitful around you.

Think about what is happening in your life as well.  For example, my granddaughter is losing her front teeth and so if I had a dream about teeth then it would have been influenced by my current experiences with my granddaughter and not a true dream.  It's something similar to dreaming about what you had watched on the TV that night and not really an indication of what is happening in your unconscious mind.

Dreams of being naked in front of others is really an anxiety dream triggered from our unconscious mind.  An interpretation of naked dreams will depend on how you feel during them, such as shame, excitement, embarrassment or even horror.

This type of dream usually interprets as the dreamer feeling vulnerable in their waking life.  Naked dreams are common though so don't think that it is something out of the ordinary. You must ask yourself are you happy in the role you have chosen in your life.  If not then this dream may be one you are having to encourage you to make a change.

Is it your job you are worried about?  Ask for help or training if it is.  If you are not worried about being naked in front of others then that means you are not a self conscious person. I have naked dreams in the past and I know it means for me that I don't feel confident or feel an equal to those people who are around me at the time.

When we are naked we are showing people who we really are so showing ourselves in this way can also make us feel defenseless with no barriers to shield us.  Do we fear they are seeing the real 'you' and does this make you feel anxious?  Enjoy your dreams and try not to worry if sometimes you lack some clothes

Birth dreams can also mean that a positive change is going to happen very soon in your life or someone close to you.

You need to know how did you feel during the dream.  This does change the overall meaning as well.  Dreams come to us in symbols and they don't always mean  what is at first obvious to us.  Ask yourself what could this birth dream really mean.

If it is your child who dreams of a birth and you or someone close to you is not pregnant then this dream too can mean a new start for the child and is a good omen for the future.  Explain to your child what this dream means to them.

So when you dream of having a baby or holding a baby or someone close to you is, then think about all the things I have mentioned above and you will have your own dream interpretation.

It's only in the last 25 years we have really learned anything about sleep and that applies to a part called REM sleep as well.  About an hour and a half after you fall asleep your brainwaves start to change and you go into what is called REM sleep.

When you are in REM sleep your eyelids flicker and this is where the name comes from, that is,  Rapid Eye Movement.  Other things happen too like your breathing increases, your heart rate and blood pressure also increases and a state similar to when you are faced with a danger.

Have you ever had a dream about being in danger but you were paralyzed with fear?  You couldn't move, let alone run away.  Well, during REM sleep the large body muscles are paralyzed and this usually occurs in the middle of the night and in the morning and luckily the feelings usually should have subsided by then.

So if you dream you are somehow in danger but it frightens you that you couldn't move and you worry that if it really happens you would do the same then now you know it was the REM that was immobilizing you and not your fear.

There are five cycles of REM in a sleep episode and you will go in and out of them during the night which in total is around 7 hours.  So if you thought you just closed your eyes and you fell asleep then you are in fact going through many cycles of sleep in one night.

Oh and for a bit of trivia, snoring occurs only in non-REM sleep.  Happy dreams

If you are the one who died in the dream, the feeling may be quite troubling but be assured it rarely means that you are going to die.  Death dreams can indicate a lot of things like an end to a relationship or emotion and can mean the start of something new in your life.

If your death dream is about talking to someone who has already passed away and this can mean that you are about to receive good news.   Seeing a mother/father/wise one figure can mean that you must listen and take note of what the wise one is trying to tell you as they are there to guide you.

Dreaming of someone close to you who has died is something a little different.  It could be that in grief you have not let them go and they are there to reassure you that they are OK.   It can then mean a sign of release and acceptance.  We release our emotions in our dreams and these death dreams help and give comfort.
