Seeing Angels and near death experiences

There have been many books written about dying and near death experiences. Every experience is unique of course, but many however have similar incidences with many seeing Angels.

There have been many reported instances where the dying person has seen a bright light at the end of a tunnel. This is often depicted in books, movies and TV shows. If they pass through the light many see a being of light and the feeling of being surrounded by love.

These beings are described as Angels or spiritual figures and in my own experience with my father, he told me that an angel was with him in the corner of the room, his name was Michael, and he was amazed I couldn't see him too. He described him as beautiful and he seemed very pleased to have him there. This was in the week preceding his death.

Skeptics will dismiss near death experiences as the body being deprived of oxygen or hallucinations, but my faith leads me to believe that these Angels are there to help us pass over. Many of the people who go through near death experiences and come back are no longer afraid of death and become more spiritual in their lives.
