Are death dreams about me?

grave1A dream about death can have varying meanings depending on the situation.  Death dreams are common and many people experience them at least once in their life.  The experience can be very disconcerting and may cause a rush of emotions, which can lead to different feelings such as anxiety and uneasiness.

If you are the one who died in the dream, the feeling may be quite troubling but be assured it rarely means that you are going to die.  Death dreams can indicate a lot of things like an end to a relationship or emotion and can mean the start of something new in your life.

If your death dream is about talking to someone who has already passed away and this can mean that you are about to receive good news.   Seeing a mother/father/wise one figure can mean that you must listen and take note of what the wise one is trying to tell you as they are there to guide you.

Dreaming of someone close to you who has died is something a little different.  It could be that in grief you have not let them go and they are there to reassure you that they are OK.   It can then mean a sign of release and acceptance.  We release our emotions in our dreams and these death dreams help and give comfort.

How you feel in the dream may also affect its interpretation.  Don't worry about a dream about death but use it as a message from loved ones passed, a warning of things to come and/or as a release from grief.  If you are interested in learning more about death and dreams then check out this book The Dreamer's Book of the Dead: A Soul Traveler's Guide to Death, Dying, and the Other Side from Amazon.
