I must say tell you too that I met that man in the picture, well someone who looks a bit like him but better,  and now we are engaged.  I have been to the house in the picture by accident and I have walked in the field of red poppies.  I am always amazed when that map comes to life for me.  You can also see that I dream about traveling a lot.

I really believe in asking for what you want from your angels (or from the universe if you don't believe in angels).  This has worked for me a few times in my life, that I am aware of, and maybe at other times I may have put it down to  a coincidence.

I used to feel that wanting something more for myself was a selfish act so now I ask not only for myself but for someone else I know who needs it too.

This is one of my favorite quotes from Neal Donald who wrote "Conversions with God".

You are worth it!  You truly must believe that and accept the reality of your dreams coming true.  Ask for what you want and your angels will give it to you.   Realizing your dreams is really not difficult if you believe.

What have you been dreaming about lately?  They may not be famous dreams but they still could be something funny, strange or weird, you can be sure that dreams say something about yourself.   It is said that Abraham Lincoln once dreamt about his assassination.  And what do singer Paul McCartney, author Mary Shelley (picture to the left), inventor Elias Howe and novelist Stephen King have in common?  They’re all famous great people who dreamt fascinating dreams which made them who they are today.

Dreams have always been quite mysterious to people, from having dreams to interpreting what they mean, dreams have continued to puzzle us and amaze. For some famous great people like Paul McCartney, the tune to the world-famous song “Yesterday” came through a dream.  It was a frightening dream that inspired Mary Shelley to write “Frankenstein.” and it was through a dream that the inventor Elias Howe figured out a way to complete his sewing machine. Stephen King also admits that some of his stories are inspired by dreams he have even as he sleeps on a plane!  These once personal dreams have now become famous dreams of people who took a further step of sharing their dreams with the world.

Dreams are important and most of the time, the creative activities and genius of our brains become more apparent when we dream.  A number of famous great people admit that their dreams have been part of the success of their careers and their lives.  In reality, every person dreams as he sleeps, but some dreams are more easily remembered than others.  Dreams whether they are famous dreams about people, events or places or just ordinary, everyday dreams give us a different perspective to our lives.

I will be having my own dream tonight and let it become a famous one in years to come.

There are people who look into the future through astrology, horoscopes, tarot cards, runes, numerology, and prophetic dreams but I am only be going to talk about dreams.

Most of our dreams are really our unconscious delving into what has happened in our daily lives and dealing with anything that has unresolved.  We sometimes though have prophetic dreams and it is usually not until later we realize them as such.

I am fairly sensitive and intuitive but I have very few prophetic dreams. The times I have seen a glimpse though of the future have been about natural disasters.

I have always wanted to be able to read tarot cards but I have found that there is not a pack I am attracted to.  I did find one I was interested in but there seemed to be too many obstacles to getting that pack so I accepted that it wasn't meant for me to read tarot.  Maybe that will change for me one day.

The only cards that I find I am very attracted to are Angel Cards which I read intuitively rather than normally.  I suppose I use them like someone else would use a crystal ball.

Many think you either have a gift or you don't but you can develop what gifts like prophetic dreams that you have,  if you have a mentor and there are also some programs out there to help you develop your PSYCHIC GIFTS.

If you are the one who died in the dream, the feeling may be quite troubling but be assured it rarely means that you are going to die.  Death dreams can indicate a lot of things like an end to a relationship or emotion and can mean the start of something new in your life.

If your death dream is about talking to someone who has already passed away and this can mean that you are about to receive good news.   Seeing a mother/father/wise one figure can mean that you must listen and take note of what the wise one is trying to tell you as they are there to guide you.

Dreaming of someone close to you who has died is something a little different.  It could be that in grief you have not let them go and they are there to reassure you that they are OK.   It can then mean a sign of release and acceptance.  We release our emotions in our dreams and these death dreams help and give comfort.

Here are three things you should consider when preparing your dream space:

1.  Draw up a plan of your room.
The first thing that you need to do is to create a plan of what you want for your bedroom. Pick on a theme that you think will be able to make you feel at ease and comfortable. Do not pick very bright colors if you want the room to feel relaxing as these can be too stimulating and keep you awake.

2.  Find the right bed for you.
In preparing your dream space, you need to have the perfect bed that will cradle you to sleep at night. If your bed is too hard, too soft, too short or too small, it will be too hard to relax. Buy the best quality you can for the money you have, knowing that this will make a big difference in how well you sleep.

3.  Create mood lighting.
Your bedroom lighting sets the mood of your room. If you have very bright lights, the tendency is for your eyes to feel very tired and have a difficult time to relax. You might want to get a lighting setup that allows you to adjust the dimness of the lights.  I like lamps too that give out a lovely subdued light.

Having a bedroom that welcomes you, will help you sleep as well as dream, so preparing your dream space is something you should really think about, and do.

Psychic dreams have occurred through out history but some may have been remembered more because they were documented such as those that foretold the death of the dreamer or someone close to them.  The most famous  person I can think is that of Julius Caesar whose wife dreamed of his death at the hands of Brutus the night before it happened.   Abraham Lincoln was another famous dreamer who dreamed of his own death.

Not all psychic dreams are about death though, for instance another famous example is Albert Einstein who claimed to have dreamed that the theory of relativity came to him in a dream.  Some people regard psychic dreams as wishful thinking and sometimes they turn out to be just that.

Not all dreams are prophetic so by dreaming something bad will happen may not be what will happen in the future.   It may be that the message is to change something in your life or it may be telling you that you are now starting on a new aspect of your life so you see the psychic meaning is not always clear.

Often the dreams are more colorful or vivid and detailed and this in itself makes them stand out and remembered by the dreamer.  I have found that my prophetic dreams have been very disturbing in some way and this has made me take note of them and remember them in the morning.  I felt a kind of Deja vu feeling when the dream became reality but luckily for me they were not very important happenings in my life that I should have prepared myself for or avoided but the feeling that I had foreseen them was no less amazing to me.

Psychic dreams can be an exciting part of dreaming especially if they can prepare you for what is to come, so keep those dream diaries going and if you aren't sure about the psychic meaning of one of your dreams you may find the answer when you re read your diary another time.  Don't forget also that not all psychic dreams are about bad things that will happen in your life and some dreams are actually good tidings of future events.

I don't know about you but I have a fear of snakes and I'm sure that is not uncommon.  To me then a snake dream wouldn't be a good dream unless in my dream I had learned how to control that fear and then it would be a good dream and might indicate that I had overcome some aspect in my life that this represents. You can see that how you feel about snakes, and how they appear in your snake dream will determine it's meaning.

In the bible the snake is seen to be a creature that tempts someone against doing the right thing and if this dream reminds you of this type of battle then it may really indicate a competitive relationship you are having either at work or home.  It could also be seen as a fight against reaching your own personal or business goals.

Among many cultures the snake is seen as a symbol of wisdom and beauty.  if you see the snake in your dream in this way then the dream may be about renewal, problem solving and good news.  This snake dream may be asking you will need to find the answers of someone that is happening in your life just now.

Carl Jung associates dreams of snakes as a symbol of health and medicine.  In modern times the medical profession is symbolized with a snake wrapped around a staff of the healing god.  Jung believes that the snake represents the connection between earth and heaven. If your snake sheds it's skin then it may mean renewal or transformation in your life.

Recurring dreams may indicate that the fear or problem hasn't been resolved. You need to work through the problem so that you won't have to keep dreaming the dream over and over.  Often lucid dreaming may help you resolve those issues.

To really find out the meaning of your snake dream you must ask yourself, how did I feel, what is my attitude towards snakes, am I alone or who am I with then I see the snake and if I am with others what do they feel or how do they react.  This will give you some insight into the meaning of your dream.  This worked for me and I no longer have these dreams and this is really worthwhile in the long run for you too.

There are times when we wake up puzzled about our dreams.  It has often been said that dreams are unconscious manifestations of our innermost feelings and desires.  They are, however, not as straight forward most of the time as to be easily interpreted.  In a lot of cases, these dreams do not make sense at all.

There are times when you remember your dreams vividly and there are times when they just disappear like cloud wisps as we open our eyes.  It is important to try and consciously remember your dream as soon as you wake. Have your dream journal readily accessible to you by your bed with a pen so that you do not have to get up and grope around for them when you first awake.

A lamp next to your bed providing a soft light clear enough to allow you to see as you are writing on your dream journal is a good idea.  Don't get up or disturb yourself too much as this could bring you to full wakefulness and lose the dream you are about to put down in your dream diary.

Before going to sleep you should repeat to yourself that you want to remember your dreams that night.  This conditions the mind to keep your dreams in your memory until you have written them down in your diary of dreams.  Do not try to interpret your dreams as you are trying to recall them.  Tell me know how you go by leaving a comment.

Studies reveal that many cases happen at the brink of sleep, and that at least some falling dreams  may be physiological in nature - i.e. a blood pressure or an inner ear process.  Another theory that is not true is that you will die if you do not wake up before you hit the ground during your fall.  I also wake up before then so I cant back that up though.

Experiencing falling in a dream may suggest that you do not feel in control, you don't have enough emotional support or that you need to stand on your own two feet.  Falling dreams can also often reflect a sense of failure or inferiority in some circumstance or situation.  It may be the fear of falling in your job, loss of status or love.

Freud had the theory that falling dreams indicate that you are thinking about giving into a sexual urge, and you may be lacking indiscretion.  I think you have to work out if that applied to you or not.   I think that the more plausible explanation is that you fear something that is happening in your life and you are the best person to work out what that is.   Write down your dreams in a journal or diary and you may be able to work out why you are dreaming of falling.

If it seems to be just an unknown fear, try to confront that fear, think about what is the worst that can happen and what would be the best and this will help you work through it.  The most usual explanation most often given is that it is that dreams about falling are related to the dream of flying.

There have been thousands of songs written about dreams especially love songs.  In our dreams we can be with those we love whether they are alive or have passed, they love us, or they don't.  These are very special dreams and often give comfort to the dreamer.

Nobody can escape from dreaming! So if you think that you have slept peacefully last night without any dream, it is not true.  The fact is that you may just not recall them. For certain reasons, your unconscious needs to communicate with you and dreams are its only pathway.  Studies show that we dream several times per night and these dreams may last for one to two hours.  Dreams are essential for our brains to maintain a proper function.

Dreams are not limited to what we can see. Do you know people who have no sight still dream? You don't need to see to dream as they can be in the form of sound, feelings and smells detected by senses other than the eyes. It is sometimes only the feelings that remain that we do remember from our dreams.  Have you ever experienced a scary dream, but just cant call to mind the details, only that we felt scared.

When speaking about dreams, we should consider also whether animals dream? Well, studies have shown that warm-blooded animals do dream. The sudden eyes movement, moaning or opening of claws may be signals of dreams. But no one can really tell whether these are truly dreams.  If we could ask them I'm sure they would tell us they can.

Dreams are special so don't dismiss them. Find out how your dreams can make your life more fulfilling. You can learn to read your own dreams intuitively or seek someone who can.

As Walt Disney once said "All our dreams can come true - if we have the courage".
