Light has always been used to symbolism good and purity. In dream interpretation, light dreams aren’t so far off from how people perceive it.

In general, light dreams are seen as a positive symbol and can mean happiness. The presence of light means the lifting of darkness. This is how it also works in dream interpretation. When you dream of lights, it could mean that you have attained or will attain general enlightenment in your life or a specific area of your life.  Light dreams can also means you have or will attain knowledge and understanding regarding something you previously failed to understand.  Of course, in dream interpretation as in real life, this may not be as positive as it seems.

Other interpretations suggest that dreaming of light could mean a figurative lifting of the dark.  In this case, the light may indicate the lifting of a problem or the end of a difficult period in your life.  Darkness, after all, represents something that is evil and undesired.  That you will experience joy and happiness is also a popular interpretation.  This makes sense, since darkness is also perceived as sorrow and despair.

Where the light is coming from can alter the definition of light dreams. If you dream of light from a light bulb (or any similar artificial source of light), it could indicate that you’re ready to face a certain reality in your life. If the light flickers or fails to turn on, this means you are bound to discover something you didn’t know before.

Light dream interpretation can also be  spiritual one .  A light dream can mean enlightenment, as light, in most religions, means consciousness.  Dreaming of light should then mean that you are experiencing or will experience an illumination in your life. It could also mean enlightenment in your literal or figurative journey.

I have been dreaming a lot lately and many include dreams about Christmas parties, the Christmas tree and giving presents to friends.  Chirstmas is an important time of year for me and can be stressful, joyful and demanding so my dreams are about being prepared so I know to act on this and plan ahead. It could also mean the demands that are put on ourselves at this time of year especially family responsibilities are weighing us down.

Many dreams about an important event can be triggered by worry about the event or just by being stressed preparing for it like it seems I am doing.  These dreams tell me that I am stress although I wasn't really aware that I was.  If this does not apply to you then what does dreaming about Christmas mean?

Christmas represents a time of goodwill, peace and celebration and it also can be a time of spiritual enlightenment.  Your dreams may indicate that you are expecting pleasure in your life just as you do at Christmas.

Christmas and New Year also represent new beginnings so are you thinking of a fresh start, moving, new job new way of living?  These dreams all need to be interpreted individually and you are the best person to interpret them.

If you are dreaming of Christmas and it's the end of the year then this is probably just your way your brain is sorting through the data it's being fed during the day.  Relax and don't let this happy time of year get you too stressed.  Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Often teeth in dreams may indicate a problem you may be having with self image, confidence at work or home or a health problem you are dealing with.  Admiring your own teeth however, can indicate happiness and wishes coming true for you.  Dreaming of a third party like a dentist, in your dreams can mean you may be being influenced by a person of position or status and may not be faring well.

Have you had dreams about teeth that weren't your own?  What I mean by that is dreaming of seeing someone elses teeth and if see a monster type person with rotten teeth then take that to be a warning that someone will be deceitful around you.

Think about what is happening in your life as well.  For example, my granddaughter is losing her front teeth and so if I had a dream about teeth then it would have been influenced by my current experiences with my granddaughter and not a true dream.  It's something similar to dreaming about what you had watched on the TV that night and not really an indication of what is happening in your unconscious mind.

Think about what is happening in your life at present and this may help you work out why you are having dreams about teeth.

Dreams of being naked in front of others is really an anxiety dream triggered from our unconscious mind.  An interpretation of naked dreams will depend on how you feel during them, such as shame, excitement, embarrassment or even horror.

This type of dream usually interprets as the dreamer feeling vulnerable in their waking life.  Naked dreams are common though so don't think that it is something out of the ordinary. You must ask yourself are you happy in the role you have chosen in your life.  If not then this dream may be one you are having to encourage you to make a change.

Is it your job you are worried about?  Ask for help or training if it is.  If you are not worried about being naked in front of others then that means you are not a self conscious person. I have naked dreams in the past and I know it means for me that I don't feel confident or feel an equal to those people who are around me at the time.

When we are naked we are showing people who we really are so showing ourselves in this way can also make us feel defenseless with no barriers to shield us.  Do we fear they are seeing the real 'you' and does this make you feel anxious?  Enjoy your dreams and try not to worry if sometimes you lack some clothes

Birth dreams can also mean that a positive change is going to happen very soon in your life or someone close to you.

You need to know how did you feel during the dream.  This does change the overall meaning as well.  Dreams come to us in symbols and they don't always mean  what is at first obvious to us.  Ask yourself what could this birth dream really mean.

If it is your child who dreams of a birth and you or someone close to you is not pregnant then this dream too can mean a new start for the child and is a good omen for the future.  Explain to your child what this dream means to them.

So when you dream of having a baby or holding a baby or someone close to you is, then think about all the things I have mentioned above and you will have your own dream interpretation.

In general, dream interpretation of school dreams comes from having anxieties about authority or control, especially if your particular dream focuses on relationships between yourself and teachers. Anxiety dreams set in a school may also focus on the rules and regulations of a school, such as making it to class in time, school bells, having a hall pass, or getting sent to detention for a particular infraction.

These dreams of control anxiety may reflect upon difficulties you are having with a boss or supervisor at work. They may even stem from an actual legal problem you have incurred in real life, such as cheating on your taxes or not paying a parking ticket.

Another explanation could be that you are feeling that you still have a lot to learn and you may be dreaming this for example if you are changing jobs. Maybe you feel that you are being held back in your job or your private life or that some part of your past hasn't been resolved.  Do any of those click with you?

However, the dream interpretation of dreams that focus on a relationship to peers are rather different. Often these peer dreams may involve being ridiculed by a group of students, perhaps because you are wearing only underwear. As you see there are many explanations when interpreting school dreams and only you know which one fits your life and the dreams you have been experiencing.

These are the 3 steps I follow myself for my own dream interpretation.  Follow them and you will have a greater understanding of what your dreams are trying to tell you.

1.  Before you go to sleep, relax your body and mind and ask you angel (spirit guide or dreaming self)  to help you to remember the dream that night. You need to be relaxed to help this to work.

2.  As soon as you wake up think about the dream you had and then write it down.  Don't wait too long or your dream memory will disappear. This is the most important part of dream interpreting so follow this part carefully.

Things to think about when writing out your dream:

• What kind of dream was it?  Was it a nightmare, weird  experience or a regular dream?
• Was the dream in the past or the future or does it relate to the present.
• Write down how you felt while dreaming.  For example were you feeling happy, sad or anxious?  This does make a difference as feelings are very important for dream interpretations.
• What symbols or themes were used. Maybe you had a dream of a tidal wave or a wedding or maybe it was a person such as a friend or an animal. You can get guidance here from a dream dictionary but remember it's your dream and use it as a guide only.

3.  Wait a few days then read back what you have written and it will probably be clear to you what the solution or other explanation is for that dream.  The more you do these 3 steps, the better you will become at it.  Symbols and themes will probably be the most difficult part of your dream interpretation and where you may need to seek help.

This is a simple method for interpreting your dream but some dreams are more complex, so if you are still unclear of the meaning, then you can get your dream interpreted professionally.  I would recommend this especially if  the dream disturbs you or you have many symbols to interpret.

Start tonight, why wait for a better time because tonight is the perfect time, while it is all fresh in your memory.

The ancient Greeks sent their sick to be cured through developing their dreams within the confines of the temple.  Dreams were  also considered prophetic and in the Bible dreams were described as divine revelation.  Dreams have been held in considerable importance through history by most cultures.

Sigmund Freud believed that the foundation of all dreams is wish fulfillment and that the reason  for a dream is always to be found in what happens in the day before the dream. Freud's view was that dreams are compromises which ensure that sleep is not interrupted.  Carl Jung on the only half believed Freud's notion of dreams to be too simple and naive and was sure that the dream interpretation had a larger scope,  reflecting how complex our unconscious mind is.

He didn't believe that we should give meaning to dream symbols without knowing all about the person's situation.  Symbols must be explored for their personal significance to the person.   Jung stressed that the dream was not merely a puzzle and they have their own language.

In the 1950s Calvin S Hall developed a theory of dreams in which dreaming is considered to be a cognitive process and he argued that a dream were thoughts that occurred during sleep. He believed that there were many ways to interpret a dream.

In the 70s Ann Faraday brought dream interpretation into the mainstream by publishing book on do it yourself dream intepretation and forming groups to share and analyze dreams.  Faraday believed like Jung that dreams were reflected on what was happening currently in our lives.
