Affirmation – the Power of Words

Affirmations are words or phrases which you repeat to yourself or others, to support or change thinking patterns on a sub-conscious level. This is also the way you have formed negative and positive thoughts throughout your lifetime, saying things to yourself, about yourself, repeatedly. After words or thoughts are repeated, they soon become belief, and this belief becomes our reality. In this manner we from fears of money, poverty, sadness and other emotions that are linked with these beliefs which can turn out to be our comfort zone, no matter how positive or negative it is.

Since we created these affirmations, we can also change them. This is a great way to start your new you and prepare for the future. When you feel tired, sad, stressed or any type of anxiety, your daily affirmation will help you to feel good and get you through the day.  But, for the affirmation to work you must not say something which can make you feel better, you must also feel the words and believe on it. Say whatever makes you feel good, and then view yourself in a happy situation doing or being what you desire, it will all make sense, believe me.  The deeper you felt it, the faster it will draw it to you.

Daily affirmations are powerful tools that can help you create the life you want. It makes you stronger, help you to develop self confidence and to reach you dream success. But you have to use them properly and you have to continue working with them regularly; to the point where they become such a habit that you want to say them all the time, over and over. Repetition works and stimulates the subconscious, which in turn motivates the person into acting out their affirmation. A person who creates the affirmation should feel deeply about the words they will be using, so they will be able to actualize their affirmation.

Though affirmation is a very simple word, it can make a big impact on our lives. It is a great motivator that brings you success and can make all things possible.

Tips to manifest your dreams

Dreams serve as our pathway to develop and achieve beyond ourselves. It encourages us, giving us the will to move mountains, to change our lives. Some of the most successful people in this world started incredible inventions in history with just a dream.

Many people have huge dreams and aspirations that never manifest. All of us are competent of doing great things, but need to plan in order to achieve it. Planning definite objectives may help you attain what you want and give you direction on where you want to go. If you want to manifest your dreams, it should start with you. There must be preparation, a set of aims, and work for your dreams to come true.

Here are some guidelines to help you manifest your dreams:

  • List your desires – write down all your plans and the things you want to fulfill. Putting things into writing serves as your road map to achieve your goals.
  • Envision the fulfillment of your goals - acquire time to reflect on your goals. Visualize, and feel the joy of having achieved your objectives. Make it as real as possible.
  • Get hold of every opportunity – be aware of every opportunity that will come your way because it may lead to the fulfillment of your desires.
  • Don’t be scared to fall - when trying to manifest your dreams, failing may turn out to be your friend. Failure gives you motivation and to keep on trying until you reach your goals.
  • Be patient – remember that on your road to achieving your desires, you will encounter some hindrances that might stop you from reading it but just keep on moving and be patient. Everything will fall into places at the right time.
  • Most of all continue to hope and pray. Prayer is powerful, but you have the control to manifest your dreams.

So start believing yourself and take action!

My interpretation of light dreams

Light has always been used to symbolism good and purity. In dream interpretation, light dreams aren’t so far off from how people perceive it.

In general, light dreams are seen as a positive symbol and can mean happiness. The presence of light means the lifting of darkness. This is how it also works in dream interpretation. When you dream of lights, it could mean that you have attained or will attain general enlightenment in your life or a specific area of your life.  Light dreams can also means you have or will attain knowledge and understanding regarding something you previously failed to understand.  Of course, in dream interpretation as in real life, this may not be as positive as it seems.

Other interpretations suggest that dreaming of light could mean a figurative lifting of the dark.  In this case, the light may indicate the lifting of a problem or the end of a difficult period in your life.  Darkness, after all, represents something that is evil and undesired.  That you will experience joy and happiness is also a popular interpretation.  This makes sense, since darkness is also perceived as sorrow and despair.

Where the light is coming from can alter the definition of light dreams. If you dream of light from a light bulb (or any similar artificial source of light), it could indicate that you’re ready to face a certain reality in your life. If the light flickers or fails to turn on, this means you are bound to discover something you didn’t know before.

Light dream interpretation can also be  spiritual one .  A light dream can mean enlightenment, as light, in most religions, means consciousness.  Dreaming of light should then mean that you are experiencing or will experience an illumination in your life. It could also mean enlightenment in your literal or figurative journey.

Are you realizing your dreams?

visual mapI am not talking about dreaming your dreams but rather I am talking about your desires and wishes. These dreams for better things are what we all feel we want to happen in our lives.   I even love to do Visual Maps of what I want to happen in my life and have it displayed where I see it everyday.    See the picture of my own dreams map to the right ->

I must say tell you too that I met that man in the picture, well someone who looks a bit like him but better,  and now we are engaged.  I have been to the house in the picture by accident and I have walked in the field of red poppies.  I am always amazed when that map comes to life for me.  You can also see that I dream about traveling a lot.

I really believe in asking for what you want from your angels (or from the universe if you don't believe in angels).  This has worked for me a few times in my life, that I am aware of, and maybe at other times I may have put it down to  a coincidence.

I used to feel that wanting something more for myself was a selfish act so now I ask not only for myself but for someone else I know who needs it too.

This is one of my favorite quotes from Neal Donald who wrote "Conversions with God".

Decide who you are - who you want to be - and then do everything in your power to be that!

You are worth it!  You truly must believe that and accept the reality of your dreams coming true.  Ask for what you want and your angels will give it to you.   Realizing your dreams is really not difficult if you believe.

You can get relaxation and sleep

Relaxation and sleep can sometimes be difficult in this day and age.  The world is running on fast forward and it's hard to keep up.  We put off relaxing and then wonder why we can't sleep.  Our mind is still going at a 100 miles per hour when we close our eyes at night.

We can take some pills to relax and so get some sleep or you can do something more natural.  The problem with the pills is that after a while you get used to them so you then have to take more, then you have a wine or two with the pills, and it goes on and on.

You can do two things in particular which will help your relaxation and sleep and they are:

1)  Work out what is your barrier for relaxation.  That may sound a bit simplistic but if you really look at what is stopping you then you can find a solution.  Are you bringing your work at home so not allowing yourself to turn off from the daily problems?  Are you running around trying to do things in the house until you drop into bed each night?   If you can work out what the problem is then you can work out how to fix it.

When you relax you get a better sleep so look at the two techniques above and give them a go.  You need relaxation and sleep in your daily life so try my suggestions as you have nothing to lose and everything to gain.

Ask your Angels for help to relax and sleep

With daily stress of everyday life it is sometimes difficult to turn it all off when you want to go to sleep.  Also your dreams are influenced by your mind so being relaxed as you can before retiring to bed at night is important for good quality sleep.

Ask your angels to help you sleep as they are there to help you at all times don't forget.   Relaxation and sleep will come more easily with their help so do ask them.  What have you to lose?  When you get into bed close your eyes and ask them to help you.  This applies to any request of course but is also a good time for help with sleep.

I saw this lovely video on angels sung by Enya.  It only runs for about 5 minutes so if you have the time listen and watch it.  Enya has such a lovely pure voice it really is a lovely video.  It is very relaxing as well and you can just keep playing it hehe like I did.

My Guardian Angel Matchmaker

There is a soul mate for everyone I believe.  When I was single a wise friend of mine told me this but added that there were many potential partners for everybody, it just depended how much you wanted to compromise.  Relationships are like that, no one is perfect, even me ;)    I found this to be very true when I really thought about it, but I wanted someone that I didn't have to compromise too much with, a soul mate.

What I did was find the best person to consult that would guide me to my soul mate, so I turned to my Guardian Angel.

These are 6 things I did to help this along:

1.  Be happy as you are.  You don't need someone to make you happy as you can be happy within yourself and then this will attract into your life someone special.

2.  Resolve problems from previous relationships and release them.  Don't carry excess baggage around with you into the next relationship.

3.  Do things for yourself, like warm scented baths or light some incense before bedtime to help you connect to your Guardian Angel.

4.  Before you go to sleep ask your Guardian Angel to send someone into your life that will become your soul mate.

5.  Listen to any message you receive through your dreams that may be guiding you.

6.  Repeat steps 4 and 5 as often as you think you need to and be patient as it will happen, you just don't know when.

This method worked for me and I have been with my soul mate now for 8 years.  I had been by myself for the previous 10 years and it was only after asking my Guardian Angel that within three months I met my fiancee.  After being by myself for so long it hasn't been easy adjusting to being part of a couple, it has taken time and we accepted that, but we are quite content and happy today and I can truly say he is my soul mate.

Famous dreams and the people who dream them

What have you been dreaming about lately?  They may not be famous dreams but they still could be something funny, strange or weird, you can be sure that dreams say something about yourself.   It is said that Abraham Lincoln once dreamt about his assassination.  And what do singer Paul McCartney, author Mary Shelley (picture to the left), inventor Elias Howe and novelist Stephen King have in common?  They’re all famous great people who dreamt fascinating dreams which made them who they are today.

Dreams have always been quite mysterious to people, from having dreams to interpreting what they mean, dreams have continued to puzzle us and amaze. For some famous great people like Paul McCartney, the tune to the world-famous song “Yesterday” came through a dream.  It was a frightening dream that inspired Mary Shelley to write “Frankenstein.” and it was through a dream that the inventor Elias Howe figured out a way to complete his sewing machine. Stephen King also admits that some of his stories are inspired by dreams he have even as he sleeps on a plane!  These once personal dreams have now become famous dreams of people who took a further step of sharing their dreams with the world.

Dreams are important and most of the time, the creative activities and genius of our brains become more apparent when we dream.  A number of famous great people admit that their dreams have been part of the success of their careers and their lives.  In reality, every person dreams as he sleeps, but some dreams are more easily remembered than others.  Dreams whether they are famous dreams about people, events or places or just ordinary, everyday dreams give us a different perspective to our lives.

I will be having my own dream tonight and let it become a famous one in years to come.
